Hi, thanks for reading, just a heads up that I may earn commissions via links you click on from the companies mentioned in this post .
How to get out of a dead end job and be happier than you could have ever imagined?. Sounds corky I know, but it is very possible in this day and age. Being stuck in a job you hate or feel ashamed for having is not that uncommon. But what is common is the amount of people willing to settle for less and accept that their life involves (-Insert whatever your crappy job is here-).
It doesn’t have to be this way, as hard as it may feel right now. Life can and will get better if you allow it. Most people start off with a dead end job and many work their way out of it. The others, more often then not continue on the same path for the rest of their lives. Is it for job security, personal insecurities – not feeling good enough or confident in ones own ability to achieve a better job, or simply boredom?.
There are many reasons why people stick with their boring day jobs earning much less than they anticipated, but how does one like yourself escape from your dead end job without the risk of being unemployed?.
*Before you get to further in, I want to point out that this is a personal story on how I left the workforce and now live a much more rewarding life, both financially and emotionally. This is not 7 ways to quit your job, or how to find another job. None of that non-sense. However, the path I took can be achieved by anyone willing to put in the effort.

What? Leave My Dead End Job Without The Risk Of Unemployment?.
While, for most people it will involve finding another job. Sometimes this ‘new’ job is better than the previous dead beat position, but many times it’s just another lame job with a different job description right?.
I know the feeling. I’ve been there, done that. When I was younger I went from a poor cashier/clerk at a cheap store to a shelve packer at K-Mart. Feeling lost I took on an apprenticeship which earned me a massive $4 per hour. Life wasn’t getting any better either let me tell you.
Once I was qualified I was making $17 AUD an hour, which is enough to survive on in my country. But it will never be enough to live comfortably. Which I assume most people hope to achieve. A comfortable lifestyle. Moving on, I quit this job after 8 years as I didn’t like it anymore. Secret: The job was as a Chef. So instead I took up house painting as a career. Which felt like I was going backwards even tho the money was slightly better.
I felt like my talent or skills were going to waste. I knew I was better than this. I’m not disrespecting the painting industry at all, but I personally felt like I had more to offer and painting is very repetitive. So I was getting bored very easy.
Another 8 years passed as I kept putting up with my less than interesting job. While not 100% happy, it was paying the bills and keeping me and my family fed every week. I kind of accepted the thought of never being able to have nice things, eat nice food or travel. Painting for a living in Australia simply didn’t allow such amazing things for me or my family.
So I kept going, brush swing after brush swing until….. Work ran dry. I was left with no notice that we had no work for several weeks. As my Wife had just had our second Child I knew we couldn’t afford 3+ weeks with no money. So do I look for a new job and take this opportunity to get out of my dead end career?. No, not me!.
Don’t Quit The Dead Beat Job Just Yet
I’m sorry if that’s not what you wanted to hear. But the way I left behind the workforce for good required me to stay at my job for a period of time. When work slowed down for me, I took out credit cards and personal loans to survive. I really didn’t want to go into another dead end job, so for whatever reason I took out debt instead.
Boy Am I Glad I Ended Up In So Much Debt!
When I knew my credit cards were filling up I decided it’s time to seriously do something about my future. So what did I do?. I turned to the internet. Like 10000’s of people do each and every month, I went to google and searched ‘how to make money online’.
Needless to say I was disappointed. For some reason I thought the internet could provide me with an instant income stream from out of nowhere. Who knows why I thought that. But I pursued anyway and fell for scam after scam and lost my way. Once I learned how to avoid scams, I found what I was looking for. This day of the year 2012 changed my life forever!
Don’t Quit You Job, FIRE Your Boss!
So the reason I suggest staying in your dead end job is because when you learn the best way to make money online you are not going to ever need another job again. It takes time to learn the trade, but the end result can be far more than a dead end job can ever offer you.
So I found this amazing way to make money and I didn’t even have to leave my house, nor did I have a Boss to bow down too. It was a dream come true. Except for one thing. I wasn’t making all that much money (Straight Away).
This is why you should keep your current crappy job and look forward to the day you fire your boss and live off the internet like 1000’s of other people currently do.
Start Small – The Best Way to Leave A Boring Job
One of my first goals was to make $300 a month online so I could cover the rent for our house. While this took some time, it also kept my brain entertained and gave me hope of leaving my painting job one day.
In-fact, I became obsessed with Internet Marketing. It was on my brain every hour of the day. Mainly because I truly believed this was my ticket out of my job so I wanted to learn as much as I could as quickly as I could.
Fast Forward a few years and I have achieved my mission of quitting my dead end career. Not only that, I have even bought a new house and get to live live on MY TERMS!.
Had I Simply Got Another Job..
Back when work was slow, I could have easily gotten another painting job. I look back to those days almost every day and think ‘how lucky was I to be so company loyal and not get another job’. Had I gotten another job, I would NEVER had known about making money online. I would have been content in my repetitive job, living week to week and never going on holidays. That would have been my reality, had I taken another job. My kids much prefer me these days over the days of us being poor. May have something to do with the holidays and nice Christmas gifts.
Can You Do The Same?…Make Money Online?
Short answer: Yes. Longer answer: If you are willing to put in the effort now, to create a much more financially rewarding career choice. I don’t have a College degree, I am not smart. I am just your average Guy, who saw the potential and didn’t let go until I reached my goal.
So yes I believe anyone can be successful online if they have the desire and right attitude to building an online empire. If you want out of you dead beat job, but don’t know how. What I suggest is you read my personal review for Wealthy Affiliate. This is the same place I learned how to make money online back in 2012 and in 2017+ I still follow the same training today which makes me over $10,000+ per month. I’m not saying that to brag, but to just show you that just about anything is possible online.
